If you are a collector of Norwegian stamps, perhaps you should consider becoming a member of The Oslo Philatelic Society (abbreviated OFK), which is the oldest club in Norway, founded in 1886.

Counting approx. 550 members both in Norway and abroad we are also the largest in Norway. The Society stages activities every Monday from September until May. Go to the Startpage for meeting overview (text in Norwegian).

Activities alternate between member meetings and auctions every other Monday. At a member meeting there is normally a lecture on a philatelic topic or on a subject of interest to the members.

A typical auction contains approx. 240 items, with considerably more items for the summer and Christmas auctions. Please note that only members may participate by placing bids. Bids may be placed in person or in writing. Auction lots are on display at the OFK premises from approx. 6 p.m. on the auction day. Auction list can also be accessed online from the meeting overview.

The OFK publishes philatelic literature, notably the annual Catalogue of the Postage Stamps of Norway (NORGESKATALOGEN™), with extensive parts in English, as well as more specialized handbooks on postmarks etc.

Accordingly the club has an extensive library with a huge collection of philatelistic literature. More information (in Norwegian) found on the Biblioteket (text in Norwegian) page.
